Undermainarts.org is an independent nonprofit arts publication based in Lexington, Kentucky, producing original reporting, previews, profiles, interviews and multimedia journalism about the artists, ideas and institutions shaping Kentucky's cultural life.
Undermain’s programming centers on original, long-form arts journalism published on this site and distributed through an email newsletter, social media, and companion broadcast interviews on Eastern Standard, the NPR-affiliate program airing on WEKU and WFPL Louisville. Signature series include Undermain Icons, a monthly profile series spotlighting Kentucky artists with national recognition, and The Art of the Originals, a series on Native American art in the 21st century.

Undermain is led by a team of media professionals volunteering their time and know how. Contributing writers, photographers and videographers are compensated for the time, effort and skills they devote to their works.
