What Is John Lackey Up To These Days?
Lexington native John Lackey has been making art for decades, but that journey has taken many routes and roads and embraced a variety of mediums. Since 1987, Lackey has been screen printing designs onto t-shirts and posters and made a name for himself through his instantly recognizable linoleum block prints and wood engravings through his company, Homegrown Press. In recent years, John has been painting — acrylic on canvas — and LuigART Studios is hosting a show of his work, “Family and Friends Tour: Tales from the Oregon Coast,” through September 7.
